Agility by Night 2026

Il nous est extrêmement difficile d’écrire ce mail.

 

Le HSV Bettembourg est un club qui a toujours eu à cœur d’organiser des événements et, si l’on se fie aux nombreux retours que nous avons reçus au fil des années, de les organiser avec passion, sérieux et engagement. Ce qui vient de se passer avec l’Agility by Night est malheureusement une situation que nous n’aurions jamais imaginé possible. C’est avec une immense tristesse et une profonde déception que nous devons vous annoncer que l’Agility by Night 2026 n’aura définitivement pas lieu.

 

Après ne pas avoir obtenu l’autorisation d’organiser le camping chez nous, à Bettembourg, nous n’avons pas voulu abandonner. L’Agility by Night est bien plus qu’une simple compétition pour notre club : c’est un événement qui nous tient énormément à cœur, un moment de partage et de convivialité que nous préparons avec passion depuis de nombreuses années. C’est pourquoi nous avons tout mis en œuvre pour trouver une solution alternative.

 

Comme vous le savez déjà nous avons alors envisagé de déplacer l’événement à Roeser. Après nos discussions avec la commune, nous avons reçu l‘accord, notamment parce qu’un camping est également organisé lors d‘autres manifestations sur ce site. Sur cette base, nous avons poursuivi l’organisation et informé les concurrents du changement de lieu.

 

Cependant, après avoir dû introduire une demande officielle auprès du Ministère, nous avons malheureusement appris que l’autorisation nécessaire pour le camping ne serait finalement pas accordée non plus. Sans camping, il nous est impossible d’organiser l’Agility by Night dans les conditions qui font l’identité de cet événement.

 

Cette annonce nous fait particulièrement mal. L’Agility by Night a été, pendant de nombreuses années, l’un des moments forts de notre club et un rendez-vous attendu par beaucoup d’entre nous. Les nombreux retours positifs des participants nous ont toujours encouragés à continuer et nous ont montré que cet événement avait une place particulière dans le monde de l’agility.

 

C’est donc avec beaucoup de peine que nous devons aujourd’hui fermer ce chapitre de cette manière. Malheureusement, au vu des difficultés rencontrées pour obtenir les autorisations nécessaires, il semble très compliqué d’imaginer une nouvelle édition dans le futur.

 

Bien entendu, tous les frais d’inscription ainsi que les frais de camping seront remboursés. Les remboursements seront effectués dans les prochaines semaines. Si vous n’avez pas reçu votre remboursement dans un délai de deux semaines, nous vous invitons à nous contacter afin que nous puissions vérifier la situation.

 

Nous tenons également à vous présenter nos plus sincères excuses. Nous savons que beaucoup d’entre vous avaient pris des congés, organisé leur déplacement, peut-être même renoncé à d’autres engagements ou compétitions afin de venir partager ce week-end avec nous. Nous sommes profondément désolés pour les désagréments et les changements que cette situation peut entraîner.

Dear Competitors,

 

It is extremely difficult for us to write this email.

 

HSV Bettembourg has always been a club that is passionate about organising events and, judging by the many positive comments we have received over the years, organising them with dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm. What has happened with this year’s Agility by Night is something we never thought could happen. It is therefore with great sadness and deep disappointment that we have to announce that Agility by Night 2026 has been cancelled.

 

After we were unable to obtain permission to organise camping at our usual venue in Bettembourg, we refused to give up. Agility by Night is much more than just a competition for our club – it is an event that means a great deal to us, bringing people together and creating unforgettable moments year after year. That is why we did everything we possibly could to find an alternative solution.

 

As you already know, we then planned to move the event to Roeser. Following discussions with the local municipality, we were given approval in principle, particularly because camping is also permitted during other events held at this venue. Based on this, we continued the organisation of the event and informed all competitors about the change of venue.

 

However, after being asked to submit an official application to the Ministry, we were unfortunately informed that the necessary permission for camping would ultimately not be granted there either. Without camping, it is impossible for us to organise Agility by Night in the way that has always defined this event.

 

This announcement is particularly painful for us. For many years, Agility by Night has been one of the highlights of our club and an event that so many people looked forward to. The many positive comments and encouragement we have received from competitors over the years have always motivated us to continue and have shown us how special this event has become within the agility community.

 

It is therefore with heavy hearts that we have to bring this chapter to an end. Unfortunately, given the increasing difficulties in obtaining the necessary authorisations, it is hard to imagine being able to organise another edition in the future.

 

Of course, all entry fees and camping fees will be refunded. Refunds will be processed over the coming weeks. If you have not received your refund within two weeks, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we can look into it.

 

We would also like to offer our sincerest apologies. We know that many of you had arranged time off work, organised your travel and perhaps even declined other competitions or commitments in order to spend this weekend with us. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this situation may have caused.
